Yolanda Davis

Hi, lovelies! I'm Yolanda Davis, Founder, and Director of DAMSELS NOT IN DISTRESS, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting young girls and women as they navigate the unique challenges of life. Born and raised in a rural area of Chicago, IL, I am the fourth of six children. Growing up, I often felt like I got lost in the shuffle. However, I eventually found my way, first completing my Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies at Northwestern Business College and later earning my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Mississippi College.

My journey took me through many twists and turns, from Chicago to Jackson, MS, and finally to Phoenix, AZ, where I currently reside. It was in Clinton, MS, during a particularly challenging period, that I began a deeply transformative healing journey. Through therapy, yoga, meditation, and the unwavering support of my loved ones, I found a path to peace, self-love, and fulfillment.

With a heart driven by a mission to spread joy and love, I founded DAMSELS NOT IN DISTRESS to be a beacon of support for young girls and women on their journeys. Our programs are designed to promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being, offering a safe space for personal growth, healing, and empowerment. We provide resources, mentorship, and community support to ensure that every girl knows she is never alone in her struggles.

I am passionate about fitness, live music, movies, traveling, and spending quality time with my friends, family, and my furry companion. As an aunt to 18 nieces and nephews, I’ve experienced firsthand the joy of nurturing young lives and creating meaningful memories.
